Faster than a speeding bullet. More powerful than a locomotive. No it’s not Superman – these “men of steel” are LUMBERJACKS!

Performance times:
2 p.m., 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25th
11:30 a.m., 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26th
12 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 27th

A special amateur competition will feature Curtis Smith, chief meteorologist for Indiana’s NewsCenter, and sportscaster Tommy Schoegler, along with Fort Wayne Fire Department firefighters at 2 p.m. Saturday.

The Show includes such events as axe throwing, chopping, log rolling, cross cut sawing, hot sawing and chainsaw carving. These century old skills were used in the logging camps of North America. To pass idle time, lumberjacks would challenge each other in a head-to-head competition. Although technology and machinery have replaced manual labor, the skills are still used today by the Lumberjacks in the STIHL Timberworks  Lumberjack Show.
